JimY,
I hate to put a dampener on your thinking but there is no quick fix. Like all betting, you get out of it what you put in.
The only easy way is coat-tailing a poster on here that you think is putting in the hard work, something I have done sucessfully this year in Basketball (thanks to Hansen and Occams)However, nothing is certain and you have to be able to live with the consequences.
The hard way is plenty of time spent analysing and learning through your mistakes to get to a comfort level of betting. At least this way you have nobody else to blame.
The hardest thing to do, that no book can teach you, is walking away from a bet after hours of study. It is human nature to look for the positives in an early lean at the expense of over-looking some detrimental facts and there-in lies rub.
Best of Luck in the new season
